Photo of the Day – 2015-06-09

Redwood1890-20150604-_DS62560_DxOThis is an image that tells a story, or at least provides a timeline. As you look from right to left you you will see the life stages of a blossom. On the right the fresh bloom, on the far left the seed formed in the spent bloom, with each intermediate step represented by the withering blossoms in between. Smooth Solomon’s Seal (Polygonatum biflorum) a native plant as found in Parry Sound’s Tower Hill Heritage Garden. (June 2015)
