It’s trillium season on the Rosepoint Trail. Get out and enjoy them while they are in bloom. There are plenty of them this year, so they won’t be hard to find.

The purple invasion. I’m seeing more and more purple loosestrife in the area. It’s an invasive species that crowds out native plants. It’s seen here at the mouth of Thunder
More mushrooms, this time from the North Shore Rugged Trail, and I’m not going to hazard a guess at what it might be. It certainly looks healthy. (August 2015)
The recent rain and the impending change of seasons seems to have brought out these little beauties along the Rose Point Trail. I believe they are Chanterelles, quite tasty from
