Continuing with yesterday’s theme, this fault line runs from the tip of Zhiishiib Rock to just off of Survey Monument point further along the North Shore Rugged Trail. Often when standing on the ice you can feel them suddenly shift. It’s a bit unnerving the first couple of times, but at this point (February) the ice is almost 60 cm (24 inches) thick so there is no safety issue. The view is to the north with the pastels of dawn in the sky. (January 2015)
