ParrySights-20141023-_DSC2523-EditHere’s what yesterday’s partial solar eclipse looked like from Belvedere Hill in Parry Sound, if you were wearing welders goggles or something similar. It wasn’t a very big bite, but it certainly was a bite. This is the progression of the eclipse with the bottom right section revealing that the sun was falling into the clouds and being obscured by the longer path through the atmosphere as it was reaching the horizon. Those dark specs just a little below the centre of the sun are sunspots. (October 2014)
