This B-25J Mitchell was the star of the show yesterday at the Parry Sound Airport Annual Fly-In. Named ‘Hot-Gen’ this ‘lady’ was dressed up as an RAF bomber of World War II vintage but actually started life in 1945 as a civilian transport airplane. It was only after being found abandoned in 1975 that she was retrofitted to take on the appearance of an actual warplane. Reminds me of the Kinks lyrics – “Well, I’m not dumb but I can’t understand, Why she walk like a woman and talk like a man”. A ‘tranny’ I guess. (September 2014)
