Back to bugs in the backyard, in this case it’s actually a beetle – the Asian Lady Beetle (Harmonia axyridis). I always heard them referred to as lady bugs, but I have been corrected by Wikipedia and other references. This beetle is a foreign invasive species native to East Asia. Pretty colourful. (July 2014)
