For the next few days we’ll be looking back to the fall and some of the berries, seeds and fruits that could be found on the Rose Point Trail. The berry for today is the elderberry, Sambucus canadensis (American elderberry). As you can see it has already been pretty well picked over by the birds. (September 2013)
