Here’s evidence of other ‘critters’. This area is a pond/swamp in the summer with lots of critters. I can only assume that the lumps you see are beaver lodges. There are beavers in this area in the summer and since they don’t hibernate there must be openings in the ice that are not apparent to the casual observer. (March 2014)
