Quite pretty, these are the blossoms of the Pink Corydalis (corydalis sempervirens) photographed on one of the islands in the Massasauga Provincial Park. Each blossom is at most 1 cm (3/8ths of an inch) in length, dwarfed perhaps because of the more challenging conditions on the islands. It’s pretty common to see ‘bonsai’ versions of plants on the islands of the Georgian Bay Biosphere. (June 2013)
